Gas Chromatography Techniques Training

Who Should Attend?

This three-day course is designed for analyst with 0 – 5 years of experience with Gas chromatography (GC) equipment. Participants will learn about how the equipment is designed and how to properly operate the equipment for routine analysis. An introduction to basic GC troubleshooting will also be presented. Experienced analyst will also benefit from practical applications of GC to real samples.

This course will provide time for participants to ask questions and participate in discussions about GC. Participants are encouraged to bring questions and examples from their own laboratories. Laboratory equipment will be available and demonstrations will be part of the discussion sessions.

Dr. Merlin K. L. Bicking has more than 25 years experience in chromatography, covering gas, liquid, and super-critical fluid chromatography. As President, ACCTA, (USA) Inc. he has been teaching chromatographers for more than 15 years, has published more than 20 papers on chromatography theory and application, and has presented numerous lectures and national and international conferences. His entertaining and interactive teaching style always gets good reviews from the students. As co-founder of ChromAfrica LLC, he is actively involved in bringing scientific and technical expertise to the African continent.
